A new blogger will need the following to start a blog: 1.) A domain name 2.) Hosting 3.) A content management system ( WordPress) 4.) A blog theme. The first 3 steps can be accomplished easily with Bluehost hosting!
BLUEHOST HOSTING
Give the gift of a blog! Purchase the domain of their choice + hosting with Bluehost and use the 1 click set-up for WordPress. After that, all you need to do is add a WordPress theme and you are good to go! You can easily set up everything from hosting to installing the theme so that it’s all ready for your blogger to start creating!
I highly recommend installing the Astra WordPress theme (see next section) as it allows you to drag and drop and easily customize the website. Even though there are many other options, Astra is a foolproof theme for a new blogger!
Before you purchase a domain name and hosting, I would recommend asking your future blogger to brainstorm all the blog names they are interested in and rank from 1 to 10 and create alternate names in case those specific domains are not available.

Evernote is an amazing writing tool for bloggers. I keep all my ideas and notes organized in one spot and have them synced across multiple devices. One of the best features is the search functionality.
I recommend going with the premium version of Evernote as it allows you to sync your account with an unlimited amount devices and has more than enough storage for a blogger.

LASTPASS SUBSCRIPTION
As a blogger you may find yourself juggling a huge list of passwords making it harder to keep track of all your login information. This is when you should consider using a password manager like LastPass.
LastPass is also a great tool to use if you ever decide to hire a virtual assistant and need to share passwords. With LastPass, you can safely share passwords without revealing them! I recommend upgrading your plan if you plan on hiring a VA so you will have access to this feature!
REMOTE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER
Go To My PC allows you to access your computer remotely! There have been countless times where I wished I could access a couple of documents on my desktop computer while I was away. This is great for someone who travels a lot or doesn’t want to drag an entire home office with them to the coffee shop.

The Sony A5100 is about half the weight of the Canon Rebel T7 and actually has better video capabilities than the Canon Rebel. This would be better for someone who is looking to do more vlogging than blogging.
